Michael E. Kramer is the founding partner of Kramer & Patel, LLC. His trial and appellate litigation skills and the extent of his experience and success, particularly in employment/labor/pension, professional licensing, class actions, employees and workers' rights to compensation benefits, and education law, are reflected in his Martindale-Hubbell AV-Rating and in the numerous precedent-setting and reported cases in which he has been lead counsel in Georgia's State and Federal Courts He has over 27 years experience representing employees and employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including all types of employment litigation, traditional labor union law, diversity planning, pension law, employee and injured workers' rights, benefits, and compensation, and inwhistleblower cases.
Michael received his J.D. in 1980 from the University of California at Davis Law School, where he was both an Editor of the Law Review and a founding member and Editor of the Environmental Law Journal. He received his M.B.A. in 1990 with Beta Gamma Sigma Honors (top 10%) from Emory University's highly-ranked Executive M.B.A. Program. As a result, his financial and organizational management knowledge and skills are of considerable advantage to his clients in advising on financial matters and in obtaining the maximum recovery of damages for his individual and employee clients. Michael received his B.A. from Oberlin College in 1976. He is a member of the State Bars of Georgia (1986), California (1980), and the District of Columbia (1986).

Ms. Shalini Patel is an experienced trial lawyer in all types of employment, education, and professional licensing cases. She earned her J.D. as a 1995 graduate of Emory Law School, and her B.A. is from the University of Michigan. She worked as a Fulton County Public Defender litigating felony and misdemeanor trials from 1995-1999. She served on the ACLU Board 2005-2007, and is a cooperating ACLU attorney. She has been with the law firm Kramer & Patel, LLC since 2000 and has represented hundreds of public school employees and other workers in employment cases. In 2005, Ms. Patel won a $1.2 Million dollar jury trial judgment in a defamation case in Fulton County Superior Court on behalf of a public school teacher. Ms. Patel also speaks Gujurati.
Avni Gandhi

Ms. Avni Gandhi is a 2004 graduate of Emory University Law School and also obtained her B.A. from Emory University. She is currently assisting in the Education Consortium's statewide litigation against the State of Georgia to bring full funding to public school education in Georgia. She was lead counsel on the high-profile Gwinnett County litigation representing the science teacher who had lowered a football player's grade for sleeping in class. She has litigated numerous employment discipline and licensing trials. Ms. Gandhi has handled whistleblower actions, termination, suspension, discipline cases, worker injuries, disability and benefits, and other employment and education cases. Ms. Gandhi has been with Kramer & Patel, LLC since 2004. Ms. Gandhi also speaks Gujurati and Spanish.
